Acting & Voice Teacher
Sofia Price

Sofia Price is an actor, educator and writer with extensive experience in theatre, television and film. She began her career as a teenager with London’s Common Stock Theatre Company and later worked on the London fringe with leading playwrights, actors and directors. As an undergraduate, she performed at The Sherman Theatre, Cardiff, and went on to gain a PGCE at Cardiff University to pursue theatre in education.
Alongside her professional acting, Sofia built a long career as a Drama and English teacher, including many years as Head of Drama. She has taught GCSE, A Level, BTEC Performing Arts, the IB Diploma (Theatre), and LAMDA exams, and served as an examiner for AQA, Edexcel and the International Baccalaureate for over 15 years. She also worked for two years at HMP Winson Green, using English and Drama to support prisoner rehabilitation.
Sofia has held leadership roles across Birmingham schools, directed numerous productions, and supported many students who went on to careers in theatre, film, TV, music and writing. Highlights include directing and performing in More Light (winner of Best All Female Play at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre Festival), a prize-winning KS3 A Midsummer Night’s Dream, co-writing Grated Expectations for the Edinburgh Fringe and Birmingham Old Rep, and returning to the Fringe in 2016 with the sci-fi rock opera Mercy & The Wild Sea.
Since retiring from full-time teaching in 2021, Sofia has worked as a freelance actor and supporting artist across major TV networks and film studios, including Sky, BBC, ITVX, Netflix, Channel 4 and Disney. She is a member of Equity and is registered on Spotlight and IMDb.
Artistic Director: Dean Finlan
Dean Leon Finlan is a versatile UK actor with a rich background in theatre, TV, and film. Beginning his career as a child actor, Dean trained at the BAFTA award-winning ITV Workshop, Birmingham REP, and the prestigious Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. His extensive experience spans classical theatre, contemporary screen roles, and directing, showcasing his adaptability and depth as a performer.
